The H1N1 vaccine clinic,Extended

The H1N1 vaccine clinic, which was originally scheduled to close this week, is being extended through Friday, Jan. 8, 2010, according to Joyce Vanganualt, TDH liazion for clinics in Franklin, Titus and Delta counties.

Vaccine to help reduce the effects of the H1N1 flu virus is available for FREE at the local clinic being conducted by the Texas Department of State Health Services, Region 4/5North. The clinic is now open to all persons not just local residents and not just previously targeted "high risk" groups.

The local clinic is being conducted at the 502 E. Main St., east of downtown Mount Vernon. The clinic is in the former Texas Department of Human Services / Department of Transportation building, located next to the Mount Vernon City Cemetery. The clinic's hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. week days, except for New Year's Day, when the clinic will be closed.
